Corvette Mufflers
What headers will fit best on my 1985 Corvette?
The headers will be installed at the garage. I will then bring the car to the muffler shop to attach the rest of the exhaust system. Is this the correct way to go about this? and how much should I expect to pay at the muffler shop?
Although rather pricey compared to others, Hooker headers are excellent quality and fit and will give you a nice boost in power. Are you having a custom made exhaust done at the muffler shop or did you order a pre-made one? If you went the pre-made route I'm sure the shop doing the headers could do your exhaust as well. Its only a matter of taking the old one off and putting the new one on. Expect to pay 1-2 hours labor for the exhaust, and another 3-6 for the headers. If your having a custom exhaust done at the muffler shop then it would be a good call to have the corvette transported there. Expect to pay around $500-$1000+ on the exhaust depending on what metal (Stainless, aluminum, chromed) you decide to go with. Good luck!
