Jag XKR/ SL500/911?
I'm in the very lucky position to be able to afford one but which??? the jags a handsome classy thing whilst the mercs power is amazing and the 911s drive is brilliant. i am thinking with my eyes more than my head and drifting towards the jag.
Obviously, this is a personal choice. For reliablility, the 911 should be the best. For resale value, the 911 and the SL500 are about the same. The XKR's resale value is not as strong as the others, and the expected reliability is also not as strong. If you do get an XKR, I'd wait a couple of years, since the current model is a fresh redesign, and it's bound to have more problems the first year. I'd encourage you to visit carpoint.com and edmunds.com to read consumer reviews and forums about these particular models so that you can see what other owners have experienced on a daily basis, and make your choice from there.
